Plan an Observe-mode rollout

Connect request evidence to application completion, review exceptions, and prepare a scoped way back.

Write down the question

A useful rollout asks a specific question about a specific action. For example: can we collect and review browser evidence for the signup submission without changing the outcome of existing account rules? State the route, method, expected callers, and the application event you will inspect.

Observation records evidence and proposed decisions. It does not mean those decisions were applied. Keep those two states separate in operational reports and in any discussion of results.

Review the journey, not just the counter

Compare integration activity with the application-owned completion event. A verification request alone does not establish that an account was created or a reservation was stored. Inspect successful journeys and unsuccessful legitimate attempts, including slow connections and supported assistive technologies.

  • Record the policy version and route coverage being reviewed.
  • Separate verification errors, proposed interventions, applied actions, and application validation failures.
  • Review support reports alongside grouped evidence; avoid collecting raw browser traces in customer-facing reports.

Make decisions with labeled evidence

Do not call an unlabeled traffic sample a false-positive measurement. Define what constitutes legitimate activity, how it is identified, and which sample is under review. Where the evidence is ambiguous, preserve that ambiguity rather than turning a proposed decision into a claim of protection.

Review ordinary retries, session changes, and recovery flows explicitly. The aim is to understand what a person was trying to complete and where the integration adds useful context.

Separate review from activation

Native Verify workflow preview currently supports Off and Observe. Limit enforcement is a separate control in the Node managed candidate; a policy draft does not establish that a broader Verify enforcement path is available. Check the data sheet and matching capability page before planning activation.

For a supported enforcement change, choose a rollback owner, a route-scoped pause mechanism, and the application signals that trigger a review. Rehearse the return path while preserving authentication and business validation. Broader enforcement follows explicit review and release validation.
