Context and protected action
Select the browser action that reserves inventory. Separate browsing the event, viewing availability, reserving a place, and completing payment. Each has a different business outcome and may need a different integration boundary.
Keep payment webhooks and service-to-service allocation paths outside browser verification. Their own authentication remains necessary. Browser evidence adds context to the reservation submission; it does not determine inventory ownership.
Integration boundary
The browser carries opaque proof to the application’s reservation handler. The server-side integration consults hosted verification; the application still checks account eligibility, reservation limits, and available stock.
Allocate inventory atomically and define the expiry and ownership of a reservation. A successful verification result cannot make an unsafe inventory update consistent.
Observe plan
- Observe one reservation route before expanding scope.
- Compare grouped verification evidence with the application’s stored reservation result.
- Exercise the release journey with slow responses, expired sessions, and reasonable retries.
Native Verify workflows currently observe. Do not describe a proposed rejection as a prevented reservation or infer a customer protection rate from request counts.
Recovery and application responsibilities
If the response disappears after a reservation commits, the next attempt needs an application-owned way to recover the existing result. Authorize that lookup against the account and operation rather than treating knowledge of an identifier as permission.
MANDATE Reroute explores scoped paths and recovery but remains in development, default-off, with runtime and release validation pending. This walkthrough does not depend on it as an available customer deployment path.
What to validate
- A lost response after commit returns an appropriate existing reservation to its owner.
- A duplicate submission does not allocate an extra place.
- A different account cannot retrieve or modify the reservation.
- Pausing the browser integration preserves inventory consistency and authorization.
This walkthrough is illustrative. It contains no customer deployment claim, ticket-volume result, or measured outcome.
